Pelham Lodge No. 1303

Social and dining

Festive boards at local pubs and restaurants, and a full calendar of social evenings.

Festive boards

Pelham dines after each meeting, off-site, in dining rooms at local pubs, restaurants and hotels. This gives a varied dimension to the evening and gets us out into the community.

The bar

We have a licensed bar in the Temple, stocked and run by ourselves. It is useful for drinks before dinner after a short meeting, and for our May Supper, a relaxed evening, sometimes over fish and chips and beer.

Social evenings

We hold several social evenings to which friends and families are invited, including:

  • Curry Night
  • Whisky tasting
  • Jazz lunches
  • Quizzes
  • An English sparkling wine tasting at Court Garden in Ditchling
  • A barbecue
  • Our annual Burns Night Supper after the January meeting, with a traditional Burns Night ceremony, a Piper and an Address to the Haggis

We have also had brewery tours in the past, and we are always keen for new ideas and involvement from others.
